The National Institute of Standards and Technology is seeking applications for activities to establish community-based partnerships to develop cybersecurity career pathways that address local workforce needs. Each application must include a plan to establish a multi-stakeholder education and workforce partnership that includes, at a minimum, one institution of higher education or nonprofit training organization, and one local employer or owner or operator of critical infrastructure or identify any such existing partnership.
Awards: Up to 18 awards are expected of up to $200,000 per award.

| June 15, 2023 - Kuwait: Kuwait's Al Zour refinery has issued a term tender for fuel oil sales for July to December loading, trade sources said on Thursday, a move that comes while it continues to ramp up its third crude distillation unit (CDU). Al Zour's low-sulfur fuel oil (LSFO) tenders are closely watched by market participants as the refinery is set to be a major global LSFO exporter once it ramps up fully, and its export volumes affect market sentiment in Asia. | 16 June 2023 - Kuwait: Kuwait offered significantly more gasoline for export last month, with state-owned oil firm KPC issuing three spot tenders for a total of 93,000t to load in May.
The company followed it up by recently selling a 35,000t gasoline cargo for loading in June and has issued a tender to sell another 35,000t in July. | June 19, 2023 - Kuwait: State-owned Kuwait Oil Co (KOC) is planning to pump nearly $43 billion into new oil projects in the next five years to expand production by nearly 200,000 barrels per day, Zawya Projects reported, citing its CEO Ahmed Jaber al-Aydan.
Al-Aydan, who assumed his position as KOC’s CEO in November last year, said the crude oil production capacity of the OPEC member currently stands at around 2.8 million bpd and is expected to reach 3 million bpd after 2025.Read more... |

| June 23, 2023 - Kuwait: Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) announced Thursday that the broad money supply (M2) went up by 0.3 percent last May to settle at KD 39.6 billion (around USD 130.6 billion). Local banks' private sector deposits increased by 0.6 percent to settle at KD 36.2 billion (around USD 119.4 billion), said the CBK's economic research department in a release to KUNA, including statistical tables.
Private sector deposits in foreign currency dropped by 2.8 percent to reach KD 1.7 billion (around USD 5.5 billion), while total local banks claims on the CBK represented by CBK bonds rose by 6.2 percent, settling at KD 3.4 billion (around USD 11.2 billion). Read more... |
