WASHINGTON, D.C. Hussein Tarraf has been appointed by the Commissioner of Internal Revenue to the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council (IRSAC) in Washington, D.C.    Tarraf is the president of Tarraf & Associates, PC and Tarraf Foundation. He has been working in public accounting for more than 20 years, providing tax advisory and assurance services primarily to small to medium size businesses and high net-worth individuals, and has worked in the areas of accounting, audit, consultation, business planning and taxation within several firms. The IRSAC serves as an advisory body to the Commissioner of Internal Revenue and proposes enhancements to IRS operations, recommends administrative and policy changes to improve taxpayer service, compliance and tax administration, discusses relevant information reporting issues, addresses matters concerning tax-exempt and government entities, and conveys the public’s perception of professional standards and best practices for tax professionals.
